Red Spotted Purple Admiral

The Red Spotted Purple Admiral is a personal favorite of mine. On more than one occasion, he has shown up at meaningful moments. The striking geometry of the rear wings is the inspiration here, and I really love the vibration of the deep cobalt to teal blue gradation, punctuated with its signature red orange spots! This is one of my larger pieces, measuring 11.5" tall and 9.5" wide.
